I was surfing the net looking out for news on Malta, and came across this....

Around two million babies are estimated to die during their first day of life each year worldwide, with Malta having the second highest newborn mortality rate in the developed world, CNN reported.

To be honest with you its not something I expected from Malta.... Latvia is number one for the developed world, and Sub Saharan Africa remains number one for the developing world.....

Most of the causes are either being born too small or too early.....
